A young man is troubled by recurring dreams in which his deceased father, a judge, warns him of a stranger's intentions against the family. When the young man's mother introduces the family to a new gentleman she has started to see, it turns out to be the man his dreams warned him about. After being sent away to a sanitarium, from objecting to his mother's impending marriage to the mysterious man and what his reasons are, he discovers information there which proves his father's death was not an accident and what the true motives are of his mother's fiancé.
